Pagadian City – 137 fire victims of the February 18 conflagration that affected Barangay Santiago were aided by the Zamboanga del Sur PNP Command Ladies Club.
Led by PSI Teresita Paclibar under the supervision of Provincial Director P/SSUPT Ramon M. Ochotorena and the officer and men of the Provincial PNP Zamboanga del Sur PNP Provincial command, distributed relief goods consisting of sack of rice, used clothing’s, shoes, and other home accessories to the victims.
Said relief goods distribution conducted by the Philippine National Police was also supported by the Armed Forces of the Philippines Savings and Loan Association, Inc. (AFPSLAI) and Ummah Fi Salam (UFS) an non-government organization for peace and solidarity led by Ms. Saida Lapasaran.
Mrs Ma. Carla Althea Ochotorena, wife of the Provincial Director and as the PNP Ladies Club regional President and adviser lauded the act of humanity done by her ladies. “I am very thankful of what they had done, the PNP ladies club is not only to care for their husbands and to do their share but also be responsible to all who needs there help and support.” She said.
Meanwhile, the Only Wife of Dumalinao’s Finest (OWDF) pursuant to the move of the national adviser, Mrs. Cynthia Versoza, the wife of the PNP Chief P/DIR Jesus Versoza has organized them as part and parcel of the PNP Ladies Club all over the country.
Elected were: President-Aivee Vicente, VPres.- Anabelle Paulo, Secretary-Marife Buletic, Treasurer-Gliceria Duhilag, Auditor-Cristita Calimot, PIO- Rebecca Angas and Lorna Caballero, Sgt at Arms-Mardie Mendoza, Ellen Canalija and Decelyn de Aquino, Business Managers- Amy Rose Malalay and Roselyn Macasasa, Adviser- Mrs. Rowena Palermo.
During the hearts day celebration, the officers were inducted into office by Mrs. Ochotorena together with the Provincial Director of the Zamboanga del Sur PNP Command.
“We have to stay together, Work together, and build a harmonious relationship to help and support our husbands, Because we love our husbands” she said in her message.
The PNP Ladies Club of Zamboanga del Sur, is not only there for their husbands but tries to help other people in need.
