600-T worth of “Shabu” confiscated, 2 caught red handed

Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 9, Regional Enforcement Team in coordination of the Ipil’s Finest under Police SI Ariel T Huesca recently apprehended and confiscated 600-T worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride or otherwise known as “shabu” substance during a buy-bust operation in this capital town of Zamboanga Sibugay last February 17, 2009 inside the JOLLIBEE-Ipil branch.


Together with the PDEA Team led by SPO1 Faigdar A. Jaafar, two suspects were collared namely; Haron Vael y Edres alias “TING”, 36 years old, married of Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur and Jamil Lumma y Nor alias “JAM” 37 years old, married of Lower Sang-an, Labangan, ZDS in a buy-bust operation conducted by the joint PDEA-PNP team.


Further, confiscated from the suspects were two heat sealed medium size transparent sachets of the illegal drug after the buy-bust operation which was delivered to IO2 Abdulsokor S. Abdulgani an PDEA Agent in exchange for the supposed Php600,000,00 (1,000 registered buy-bust money consisting of 2 pieces of 500 pesos bill with serial numbers QL5000919 and YJ497974 on top of the 12 bundles of cut papers that were placed inside a black paper bag).


The report also disclosed that the suspects vehicle, a Black Mitsubishi Strada with plate number KDU115, OR and CR, and two(2) units of NOKIA Cell phones were also confiscated by the joint team. A total of approximately 100 grams of shabu confiscated from the two suspects will be used as evidence in violating section 5, in relation to Sec.26, Article 2 of Republic Act 9165 as it is now filed at the prosecutor’s office in Ipil Zamboanga Sibugay.



PDEA also disclosed that the two suspects are affiliated to the Afdal-Nandang Drug Group of Labangan.
